Credential Bales Are Priced by the Pound

Wholesale credential bales are sold by weight, not by the piece. Suppliers quote a per-pound rate, your product cost is that rate times the weight of your order, and freight is usually quoted on top. Because every bale is a different mix of donated clothing, weight is the only fair way to price it.

RawBales Pricing by Allocation Size

Our pricing is tiered by allocation size. Every tier is the same product — 100% raw credential bales, untouched and ungraded. Larger allocations get a lower rate:

·10,000 lbs: $0.74/lb — $7,400 product total (minimum)
·20,000 lbs: $0.66/lb — $13,200 product total
·40,000 lbs: $0.58/lb — $23,200 product total (full truckload)

What Moves Credential Bale Prices

·Raw vs. graded. Raw credentials typically cost more per pound than mid-grade sorted product, because nothing has been pulled out. Here's the full comparison.
·Volume. Truckload buyers get the lowest rates. Fractional buyers usually pay more — or can't buy at all.
·Source region. Different donation routes produce different quality profiles, which shows up in the price.
·Broker layers. Every middleman between the donation route and your dock adds margin.

Don't Forget Freight: Figure Your Landed Cost

The per-pound rate is only half the number. Freight depends on your delivery ZIP, the weight of the order, and your access — a loading dock or a liftgate delivery. The number that actually matters for your margin is landed cost per pound:

Landed cost per lb = (product cost + freight) ÷ total pounds. For example, a 10,000 lb order at $0.74/lb is $7,400. If freight on that order came to $1,200, your landed cost would be $0.86/lb. (Illustrative freight figure — your rep quotes the real number for your ZIP.)

Compare suppliers on landed cost, not the headline rate. A cheap per-pound price shipped from across the country can end up costing more than a higher rate shipped from a closer warehouse — one reason we allocate from warehouses nationwide.

Is a Higher Per-Pound Price Worth It for Raw?

For buyers who can sort, usually yes. When you buy graded product, you pay for someone else's sorting labor and margin, and the best pieces are already gone. With raw credentials you capture the cream yourself — so the higher rate buys you the highest resale ceiling in the market.
